Guests are in for an exciting spring/summer season at The Galleria Al Maryah Island with community initiatives for all the family to enjoy. This exciting line-up includes a range of activities focused on environmental sustainability in line with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, as announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. Guests can make a positive impact by partaking in recycling initiatives that will be organised across multiple stores.

In this way we can make a positive environmental impact and cater to every member of the family, while offering guests the exceptional elevated experiences we have become renowned for as the home of luxury and high-street fashion in Abu Dhabi.”
Sustainability runs through each Spring/Summer activity. Recycled materials are a central component of the unique art exhibition by acclaimed artist Rachel Bergeret. Inspired by luxury fashion brands Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, YSL and more, the showcase is a tribute to the artistry of the great designers and is open for all. Creative inspiration is also available for younger guests, as they can engage in painting, learn about environmental initiatives and see live music and magic shows. Guests are also encouraged to participate in and contribute to sustainability initiatives in-store at multiple brands across The Galleria.
Exclusive art exhibition combines creativity, fashion and sustainability
The Galleria is hosting a first-of-its-kind art exhibition that showcases exclusive creative works at the intersection of luxury fashion and art. By incorporating recycled materials in the featured works, the exhibition intends to highlight the many connections between the fashion industry and environmental responsibility.The Year of Sustainability has particular significance as the UAE prepares to host the 28th United Nations climate change summit, the Conference of the Parties (COP28), the largest international climate change event.
The exclusive exhibition features never-before-seen pieces created specifically for The Galleria. Rachel Bergeret’swork is in high demand globally. Her La Parisienne exhibition blends sustainable materials with three-dimensional artistry to create stunning pieces for fashionistas and collectors alike. A former fashion designer, Bergeret was inspired by Gustav Klimt, Toulouse Lautrec and Edmond Kiraz when she created her Parisian and ultra-feminised muse. The exhibition is being staged in the North Atrium (beside Debenhams) on Level G from 08 to 30 March.
Engaging activities & creative inspiration for children
Every day until 19 March,younger guests can also get creative and enjoy fun art activities, music and magic shows.Arts and crafts sessions are held every day from 2pm to 9pmwherelittle ones can try their hand at painting a masterpiece, getting creative with stone art, having fun with paper crafts and learning about the environment and sustainability with flower planting. Access to the activity area is free for guests who have spent AED 200 or more anywhere at The Galleria from 01 to 19 March. Just show one or more receipts or SMS messages for entry.
Live 30-minute shows are also being staged on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm every week.On Friday03, 10 and 17 Marchyounger guests can sing their hearts out to acoustic guitar music and on Saturday04, 11 and 18 March, they will be amazed at the incredible magic show being performed. Lastly, on Sunday05, 12 and 19 March they can wonder at the wildly entertaining bubble show.
Make a positive impact with sustainability initiatives
Guests are encouraged to help the planet and take part in sustainability initiatives across The Galleria.L’Occitaneen Provence offer guests a 10% discount when they bring a used bottle. Not only does this reduce plastic waste, but it can also help women in need in Burkina Faso when shea butter is added to purchases.
If guests bring 10 used bottles into Kiehl’s they’ll receive a complimentary hair conditioner as a “thank you” for reducing plastic waste. Guests can also help those in need and clear some space for their new spring/summer collections, by donating unused clothes to the Red Crescent. Donation points are available in Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Zara and Zara Home.
