The Galleria Al Maryah Island Launches ‘Our City Your Mall’ Campaign

The Galleria Al Maryah Island launches its ‘Our City Your Mall’ campaign to bring alive the many offerings coming to Abu Dhabi’s ultimate lifestyle destination. The campaign illustrates how the entire community will be able to ‘Eat, Play, Shop and Indulge’ at its 400 outlets when The Galleria’s expansion opens on 4 September 2019. The additional 270 exciting new brands will join the renowned Luxury Collection as well as the award-winning Dining Collection that have been providing the capital with world class shopping and dining since 2013.

Building on the established five-star Dining Collection, ‘Eat’ stands for the introduction of unique and varied culinary experiences including 70 new outlets from causal eateries like The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang’s and Paul Café, as well as an exciting first-in-the-region culinary concept called Central Kitchens, designed by famed architect David Rockwell. The new dining destination will take customers on a journey of global flavours in innovative surroundings through five dining districts inspired by the home, complete with elements like lush green spaces, wall gardens and a greenhouse terrace.

‘Play’ highlights three levels of world-class entertainment for all the family to enjoy, including a flagship Xtreme Zone and a 21-screen VOX cinema with IMAX and 4D technology, which will be one of the largest cinemas in the region. The expansion will offer a sport and adventure themed park and a park for younger children. This complements the iconic events hosted by The Galleria such as Chinese New Year, Winter Wonderland and New Year’s Eve, famed for quality entertainment, live performances and spectacular fireworks displays. With the new expansion, these spectacular events will become bigger and better, bringing the entire community together.

The ‘Shop’ pillar will excite customers with some of the world’s most desirable international brands, complementing the existing Luxury Collection providing something for everyone. New stores will include Zara, H&M, Monki and Debenhams. Some ‘first to Abu Dhabi’ concepts will also launch including trendsetting fashion brand Missguided, sporting giant Decathlon and creative styling destination & Other Stories. Shopping experiences will include family brands, along with an assortment of beauty offerings including Charlotte Tilbury, Sephora and NARS. There really is something for everyone, to suit every taste and budget.

Finally, ‘Indulge’ represents the established Luxury Collection, which includes The Dining Collection comprised of 16 world class restaurants and features brands including Zuma, La Petite Maison, Nusr-Et, COYA and Roberto’s. The Luxury Collection, houses high-end fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Burberry, Gucci and Fendi. Building on the portfolio of these luxury names, are the latest flagships set to launch, including Chanel, Piaget and Valentino. In total The Galleria’s Luxury Collection features more than 130 of the world’s most coveted fashion brands, jewellery boutiques and restaurants all under one roof.

Daniel Parry, Managing Director of Gulf Related comments, “The ‘Our City Your Mall’ campaign is a celebration of the rich heritage and diversity of our vibrant city. As a developer based in the capital, we created the expansion with the community in mind, bringing together the best entertainment, retail and dining under one roof. Great architecture combined with a design that took the time to understand and incorporate the needs of the community, has led to the creation of a mall that is best-in-class on the global stage. This is the same process used when we launched The Galleria’s Luxury Collection six years ago.

“The campaign features four main pillars; Eat, Play, Shop and Indulge, that our guests will experience – each catering to everyone from the young, to the young at heart. The expansion will be a meeting place for the community to create lasting memories with friends, family and loved ones for generations to come.”
